Physio­therapists

A physiotherapist who graduated from the University of the Free State in 2008. He completed his Masters Degree (MSc Physiotherapy) in 2018 from the same institution. He received his Doctorate in Physiotherapy in 2024. He enjoys challenges from a wide variety of physiotherapy domains including chronic pain, pulmonary rehabilitation and various exercise therapies. Ruan is also very involved with the Namibian Olympic and Paralympic Athletes. He is passionate about continuous education and keeping up with new research findings.

Obtained her Physiotherapy Degree at the University of Pretoria in 2009 and completed her Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT1) certification in 2010. She worked in private practices in Walvis Bay, Windhoek and Swakopmund, before founding this practice in Swakopmund together with her husband, Ruan, in 2013. She is passionate about all things women’s health - pelvic issues, pregnancy and breastfeeding – but also enjoys musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Marieke obtained her Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Stellenbosch in 2023, with a related publication in 2024. She is also a certified APPI Pilates Instructor and teaches a weekly class.

Zu-Maree is a graduate from UNAM with an BSc Honours Degree in 2024. Her passion lies in sports, orthopaedic and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. She is eager to continually expand her clinical expertise. She is driven by a desire to improve the quality of life and physical wellbeing of others. Outside of work she enjoys staying active through jogging and swimming, exploring new adventures and indulging in a good book.

Obtained her BSc Physiotherapy degree from the University of Pretoria in 2025. She is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life and believes that change happens through movement, with movement being a powerful tool for healing. Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal, pulmonary, and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She is committed to providing patient-centred care and believe to continually expand her knowledge and skills to ensure evidence-based, high-quality treatment. Outside of physiotherapy, Arlene exchanges her stethoscope for a camera enjoys nature, and an active lifestyle.

Erica graduated from UNAM in 2023. Her interests includes cardiorespiratory, orthopaedics, sport and paediatric physiotherapy. She enjoys learning and continually improving her clinical knowledge. In her free time, she enjoys staying active and reading.

Ermelinde is BSc Honours Degree in Physiotherapy holder from the University of Namibia in 2021. She is passionate about acute pulmonary rehabilitation, manual therapy, managing critically ill patients, and working with paediatrics and geriatrics. She is committed to enhancing patient’s quality of life, through coaching and education. Her holistic approach is aimed at empowering individuals to regain optimal function and achieve their goals. She aspires to keep up her professional skill set through continuous research and training. In her leisure time, she enjoys listening to music, charity work, exploring nature and jogging.
