Physiotherapy
in General

Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with attaining your maximum potential in function and movement. It is concerned with recognising elements that affect your quality of life and movement potential and maximising positive outcomes thereof. Physiotherapists use promotional, preventative treatments and interventions and rehabilitation to attain these goals. We use physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being, taking into account variations in health status.

Physiotherapy is science-based and is committed to extending, applying, evaluating and reviewing the evidence that underpins and informs its practice and delivery.  Clinical judgement and informed interpretation is the core of our research-based practice.
